Travelling in the EU

No restrictions are applied to any goods bought or carried when travelling through the EU member states if those goods are meant for use and not for re-sale.
In particular often are questions as to the presence of rules regulating the amounts of tobacco products and beverages intended for personal purposes.

The above-referred goods are considered as intended for personal use when their amounts are not higher than:

 

-         800 cigarettes,

-         400 cigarillos,

-         200 cigars,

-         1 kg of tobacco,

-         10 liters of alcoholic beverages,

-         20 liters of spirituous (liqueur) wine (for instance, port or sherry)

-         90 liters of wine, out of which – 60 liters of sparkling wine,

-         110 liters of beer.
