Lithuanian Customs Warns of Fraudulent Websites Impersonating the Customs Authority
Lithuanian Customs is warning the public about identified websites that unlawfully use the name of Customs and imitate the former Lithuanian Customs website.
Customs has received information that the subdomain lrmuitine.vintrack.lt may be used to impersonate the Lithuanian Customs authority. It has been established that the content published on this domain replicates the official Lithuanian Customs website, and such a domain may be used for phishing campaigns or other social engineering attacks.
In addition, the domain ltmuitino.lt has also been identified. It uses the appearance and design elements of the former Customs website.
Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant, avoid clicking suspicious links, refrain from disclosing login credentials or other sensitive information, and always verify the website address before using online services.
Lithuanian Customs reminds users that its official websites are:
- Official Lithuanian Customs website – https://muitine.lrv.lt/en/
- Customs services portal – https://mano.muitine.lt/en/
If there are any doubts regarding the authenticity of a website, users are advised to verify information only through official Lithuanian Customs channels.
